What's The Ghoshunter Been Up To?

It’s been a busy week for The Ghosthunter!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Ohio Paracon Convention at Hara Arena in Dayton. While mostly focusing on ghosts, there were also talks about crypto zoology and UFOs. Some of my fellow speakers were Keith Age, Brian Parsons, James Willis, Bob Hunnicutt, and John Sabol.

This was Ohio Paracon’s first convention and it was well done. Organized by Brian and James of Southern Ohio Paranormal Research, all of the profits were donated to… Continue

GREAT NEW GHOST STORIES

Looking for some great ghost stories in the style of Edgar Allan Poe? Then, check out the new anthology Return of the Raven from Horror Bound Magazine Publications. I’m pleased to say that my short story “Home is Where the Spirit Is” is featured in this collection. The editor describes it as an “eerie yet poignant story of a spirit’s attachment to his former earthly abode.”

Go to www.horrorbound.com or amazon.com and pick up your copy today. And, once you've been inspired by those stories, why… Continue

"Coast to Coast AM with George Noory"

Earlier this week I once again had the pleasure of being George Noory's guest on his popular radio show, "Coast to Coast AM with George Noory." As always, it was a lot of fun talking with George and the many listeners who called in to the show.

So many listeners went to my website (www.JohnKachuba.com) that its carrying capacity was exceeded and the site went offline. I am happy to say that it is back up and running again, so come by and visit. I'd love to talk with you.

The Ghosthunter's Road Trip

So, what I really like about being on a book tour is getting to meet and talk with other ghosthunters.

This past week, after speaking at Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, I had dinner with three students who are starting a paranormal investigation team called HIGHS (Hiram Intelligent Ghost Hunting Society), with the support of the college. When I went to college HIGHS meant something entirely dfifferent, but I'm glad to see these young investigators on their way.

Later that week I spoke at the lib… Continue

Hi John,
Thank you for your links to this website.
I am very interested in entering the contest to be included in America's Haunted Road Trip. Have a few questions that I can't find the answers for with the application I printed up,
Is there a limit to the amount of content submitted ? Are the stories to be directed only to paranormal locations, or can personal experiences play a big part in the story ?Oh, and do the authors give up all rights when submitting their stories and photos ? Please forgive my ignorance but I have never entered a contest like this before, and just want to make sure that I do it right.
Thank you for listening.

Hey John! Thank you for your comment! I am the Case Manager for a group called MRIPA (Midwestern Researchers and Investigators of Paranormal Activity). As you could tell from my post. I get very frustrated with particular paranormal groups today because quite a few of them make the paranormal groups that actually are legit and scientific based look ridiculous. With their philosophy of "oh everything is haunted attitude" and "Wow look at all those orbs!" Uhm I'm sorry I think you forgot to mention that the old house is really really DUSTY! The founder of our group, Jason Baker, has been around since 1996. Not only he, but I, and the rest of our team have been trying very hard to get our name out there for we do take this very seriously. But at the same time we know how to have fun and of course keep it very professional. Jason has put his heart into his group and after so long with Jason putting his own hard earned money into his equipment he can only do so much to make his group known. Not only in the Indianapolis, Indiana area but also nationwide or even world wide if possible. Yes, I know a very large and far away start to reach, but if you don't try than who knows what can happen. I post information everywhere because I would love to see Jason's dream come true. He would love to make his paranormal group someday his full time job, but of course we have to separate ourselves from some of the other groups first - in that we are the "real" deal and are about searching for truth and answers and in the same breath educate others that more is out there, definitely more than what meets the eye! Anyways, hope you have a wonderful day, and please keep in touch!

~Rachel~
