Man, I just love this show and always have such a great time on it! An hour-and-a-half just flies by and we cover so much ground. Good questions and interaction from listeners calling in or posting to the Psi-fi Para-Radio chat room keeps everything lively and adds a random element to show.
We discussed any number of diverse things on the Nov. 4 show (which,as it went until half-past-midnight Central time, extended into Nov. 5 for me). These included my own
Ghosthunting Maryland and the…

I was recently asked by a member of this site to evalute an orb picture and provide some feedback. I provided that feedback privately and then it was suggested that I share that information here to the benefit of all the members. First, I DO NOT claim to be "the orb authority". I can only share what I know from my own experience with them from both my paranormal investigations and from my career. Essentially, I've spent a number of years teaching and training first and emergency responders and w…

Had a great chat this evening with Shirley MacLaine for her Independent Expression radio show about haunted places in not just in Maryland and Virginia but around the world! Going into it, I had a presentiment that it would be more challenging than usual, and it was ... Shirley asked me questions that I have
never been asked before and -- which I noted when I spoke with her -- will in some cases affect the way I approach ghosthunting in the future. Beyond usual topics like the nature of g…

One of the last stops on my most recent book tour was Winchester, Virginia, which I have often described as one of the most haunted cities in Virginia. I devote an entire chapter of
Ghosthunting Virginia to a number of sites in the 18th century heart of the town, two of which I revisited last weekend.
The first was the
Fuller House Inn, a haunted establishment that my wife and I stayed at in April 2008 and eagerly hoped to visi…

Have been continuing the book tour for
Ghosthunting Maryland and took it into the "Old Line State's" Eastern Shore over the weekend!
The main event was a visit to the wonderful
Mystery Loves Company bookstore in Oxford, where I spent about three hours chatting with proprietor Kathy Harig, author Andy Nunez, and radio personality Drake Ferguson of
WCEI Radio, who interv…

I am asked quite frequently is what criteria do I use to determine a site is haunted and how many sites have I declared or certified as haunted?
Thus far I (aka G.H.O.S.T., G.H.O.S.T. Enterprises and Bridges2Beyond), have only declared 1 site to be haunted. Gabriel's Inn located in Ijamesville, MD just minutes outside of Frederick. To my knowledge, we were the first group to declare Gabriel's Inn a haunted location back in November of 2008, although it has come to my attention that another grou…

Had a very full first day of promoting
Ghosthunting Maryland that included three hours chatting with the Inspired Ghost Tracking paranormal group in Odenton, Maryland! This is a smart, fun, very active group that I spent time with over the summer while I was doing fieldwork for my Maryland guide and deservedly have a presence in it. It was thus appropriate that I should kick off the book tour at one of their events. Thanks to Margaret, Julie, and all of the other great members of IGT.
I…

Hey everyone. I realize it has been a long time since I wrote a personal blog, but to tell you the truth, I have been working on a book and writing a blog sort of takes the back seat when competing with that endeavor. I am not yet finished, but have taken time out to write this, as it has to do with an experience I recently had.
Specifically, I had a very unusual thing occur while I was in Williamsburg, Va. Labor Day weekend. I was in a house built in 1690. I watched a pewter salt shaker (kind…

It’s been a busy week for The Ghosthunter!
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Ohio Paracon Convention at Hara Arena in Dayton. While mostly focusing on ghosts, there were also talks about crypto zoology and UFOs. Some of my fellow speakers were Keith Age, Brian Parsons, James Willis, Bob Hunnicutt, and John Sabol.
This was Ohio Paracon’s first convention and it was well done. Organized by Brian and James of Southern Ohio Paranormal Research, all of the profits were donated to…

I do believe our area has more haunts than most places. Founded in 1745- 1st settlement west of the Blueridge. Involved in & survived all wars - changed hands abt. 80 times during the Civil War. Many homes were hospitals for both S. & N. Log homes abound with german siding..........anyway
Union Bank 1870 was built over a torn down pre Civil War brick home. When torn down, an unknown well was found that existed prior to the home. The Bank is now restored & houses the Union Jack Pub &…

The irresistible, mind-boggling fantasy comes to just about everyone, sooner or later: What if everything we knew, our whole universe, was just a speck of dust on someone’s shoulder?
Of course, that’s not an idea astronomers take seriously. But many cosmologists are giving serious thought to a more scientific question: Do other universes exist?
At first glance, you can’t help but wonder how anyone could have the chutzpah to ask a question like that…
